sim_gauss_sigma
(x, x0, sigma)[source]¶ Simulate a Gaussian (normal) lineshape with unit height at the center.
Simulate discrete points of a continuous Gaussian (normal) distribution with unit height at the center. Sigma (the standard deviation of the distribution) is used as the distribution scale parameter.
Functional form:
f(x; x0, sigma) = exp( -(x - x0) ^ 2 / (2 * sigma ^ 2))

Array of values at which to evaluate the distribution.
- x0float
Center (mean) of Gaussian distribution.
- sigmafloat
Scale (variance) of the Gaussian distribution.

Distribution evaluated at points in x.
